How they are recruited:
Dania is by the docks in Redcliffe once The Threat Remains is completed and will remain there if In Hushed Whispers is chosen. If she is not recruited before Champions of the Just is started, she cannot be recruited. The Inquisitor only needs to talk to her. She will mention the alliance with Tevinter and ask to join the Inquisition rather than stay with her fellow mages.
Where they are in Skyhold:
Dania can be found in Skyhold's garden before construction is underway and in the lower library once it is available.

After being recruited, Dania will mention that with the mages scattered, a great many books from Circle libraries have been lost. She asks for help in recovering them for her personal collection.
Auld Lang Syne
Once her approval is high enough, Dania will approach the Inquisitor with a favor. Varric has recently learned of an old Rivaini tome she's interested in having. Using the war table reveals the operation. The tome and seller are at a warehouse in Val Royeux. When the Inquisitor arrives, the mages and their protectors are dead, and a group of templars are waiting to ambush the buyers. The leader of the templars reveals that the book is about a Rivaini style of blood magic. After the group is defeated, the Inquisitior and Dania discuss the book. She promises that she wants it for academic purposes only and begs the Inquisitior to let her have it. The Inquisitor can (a) give Dania the book or (b) burn the book in a nearby fireplace. If the Inquisitor burns the book, Dania will no longer be romanceable.
Heart of the Seer
This quest is only available for Inquisitors romancing Dania. After the romance is initiated, Dania will tell the Inquisitor about the templar she exchanged letters and gifts with in the Ostwick Circle and laugh it off. The Inquisitor can then buy ink at Val Royeaux, a silver necklace (or use one from their inventory), and craft a lazurite crest of Ostwick (2 pieces) at a requisition table. These can be placed around Dania's library (one in a book, one in a drawer in her desk, and one in a box on the desk) for her to find. Talking to her after placing all the gifts will see her coming to the Inquisitor's quarters with the note, necklace, and the crest attached to it. She will kiss the Inquisitor and lead him to the bed. After the cutscene, the Inquisitor has the option to break off the relationship or commit to it.
